A fully immersive and collaborative design process, looking at the project as whole from research to implementation, with detailed consideration of how elements interlink and roll out over the lifespan of a product.
Case study: Sponsor a Puppy fundraising product
Dogs for Good
The project brief was to develop an engaging transactional fundraising product. During an immersive collaborative project we explored all stages of development from target audience reviews through strategy and process planning to the creation and delivery of final artwork. We were able to create a reward-based fundraising strategy that balanced a realistic delivery schedule with a rewarding supporter journey to ensure a meaningful return on investment over the two-year communications programme.
Examining the entire programme revealed additional chances to optimise the production process, leading to an enhanced experience for the supporter while cutting down on production management and keeping costs reasonable. Elements like the frame fridge magnet welcome gift involved a significant upfront expense but established a framework for consistently sending high-quality yet low-cost update photos throughout the mailing timeline.

The project demanded product-specific visual components that were sufficiently unique to be recognized independently, while still aligning with the primary Dogs for Good branding to guarantee that the entire range of materials remained cohesive yet easily identifiable.
Uniform design and meticulous planning facilitated the combination of mass printing of standard content with customised low print run update materials. This also optimised the production costs and internal delivery management, which translated into a better return on investment and a reduced labour investment.
The project involved comprehensive planning and process development, which outlined the delivery of every product. Stages encompassed brainstorming; problem-solving; design drafts; spreadsheet-based delivery timelines; and detailed mailing lists, to guarantee that a complex product could be delivered in a streamlined and efficient manner without any compromise in quality.
